We come and measure, at no cost
We look at the slab, take the measurements ourselves and tell you what we found, including the things you’d rather not hear. A photo can give you a range, but your final price comes from those measurements.
Own Style LLC has been installing floors across Tampa Bay since 2017, more than 4,000 of them so far. We work under the name Flooring at Tampa Bay, and you’ll find our showroom in Tampa.
A lot of flooring jobs pass through three sets of hands: one person sells it, another preps the slab, and someone else installs. When the floor fails, each of them points at the other two. That’s not how we work.
We check the slab, we prepare it, and we install your floor. If something goes wrong, you call one company.
We don’t say that because it sounds good. It’s why we check the slab before we give you a price, and why we’ll tell you it isn’t ready, even when that means losing the job.
Four of us run the company day to day. The installation itself is done by six crews we’ve been working with for years. They’re not an agency, and they’re not whoever happens to be free that week.
Before any crew steps onto one of our jobs, we check:
An active business registration in Florida, and any license the specific work requires, like electrical or plumbing, if it’s involved.
Current, on file and checked by us, not just promised.
Signed and up to date, for every crew, every year.
Taken care of wherever the job needs them, and always before we start.
Including the OSHA rules that apply to the work.
If a crew can’t show us all of that, they don’t work with us. It’s the part of the business nobody advertises, and it’s what keeps a bad job from turning into a mess you have to sort out yourself.

We deliver the material and prepare the surface: leveling, a moisture check, whatever the slab really needs. Most floors that fail, fail right here, in the step nobody takes pictures of.
The crew installs, cleans up, and walks the finished floor with you before anyone leaves.
About three weeks when the material is a special order.
That’s our real capacity, and it’s why we can take on a job without dragging it out over a month.
We warranty our installation for one year from the day we finish. If something we installed fails because of how we installed it, we come back and fix it at no charge.
It doesn’t cover manufacturer defects, normal wear, floods or leaks, storm damage, impacts and scratches, or the building moving after installation. The material itself carries the manufacturer’s warranty. We’ll give you the full text before you sign.
On every job, no exceptions, and it doesn’t cost you anything. If the slab isn’t ready, we tell you, even if it means losing the sale.
Not just the date you want to hear. If something changes, you’ll hear it from us first, not find out on your own.
When we pull up an old floor, we find things: damage, moisture, bad prep from whoever came before. You get a photo and a call before we touch it, and a price before we fix anything.
We wrote the technical library we wish we’d had when we started. Moisture, subfloors, materials, all of it, and it’s free.
