Flooring installation across Tampa Bay.

We install luxury vinyl plank, laminate, engineered wood and tile in homes, rentals and commercial spaces across Tampa Bay. Labor starts at $2 per square foot, and the full rate list is published further down this page.

Every job starts with a look at your slab, using a moisture meter and a straightedge, before we put a price on the work. Demolition, subfloor prep and installation are all one job, under one contract.

One point of accountability, from the slab up.

What flooring labor costs in Tampa Bay.

Flooring labor in Tampa runs $2 to $8 per square foot, or $50 to $150 an hour, depending on material and complexity (Angi, 2026). Laminate labor lands between $2 and $4 across Tampa Bay, and tile installation in Tampa is estimated at $6.62 to $9.80 per square foot in 2026 (WiserCosts).

What a real job costs.

500 sq ft of LVP over a slab, with the old carpet coming out:

LVP installation, 500 sq ft$1,000
Carpet removal, 500 sq ft$400
Subgrade preparation, 500 sq ft$500
Quarter round, 175 linear ft$131
Total labor$2,031

That comes to $4.06 per square foot with demolition and prep included. It’s inside the Tampa range for installation alone, and it includes two more trades.

The 175 linear feet come from the 35% rule on square footage, the same one the site calculator uses.

What’s included, item by item.

  • A slab check with a moisture meter and straightedge before we price the job, on every job
  • A written scope before work starts
  • Demolition and haul-away of the old floor, when the job calls for it
  • Subfloor prep to manufacturer tolerance
  • Installation, transitions, thresholds and trim
  • Daily cleanup and a final walkthrough with you
  • A one-year workmanship warranty on the installation we perform

Our warranty, and what it doesn’t cover.

  1. The one-year warranty covers our workmanship

The work we do: excessive movement from improper installation, separation caused by an installation mistake, transitions and trim set wrong, and tile failures that trace back to our workmanship.

  2. Your slab was there before we arrived, so we can’t warranty it. What we do is check it.

That’s why the moisture meter comes out before we price the job, not after.

  3. If the slab comes back outside range, we price the fix

We’ll suggest how to fix it and give you a price. If you’d rather install anyway, you sign a waiver that stays in your file.

The warranty doesn’t cover manufacturer defects, normal wear, floods or leaks, storm damage, impacts and scratches, or the building moving after installation. We’ll give you the full text before you sign.

Pick by how the room gets used.

You might not know what wear layer you need, and that’s fine. What you do know is whether you have a dog, a busy kitchen, or a tenant moving out on the first. Start there.

  • Yellow Labrador lying on light wood-look flooring beside a kitchen island

    Pets and claws

A wear layer and finish that hold up to claws and the occasional accident.

  • Kitchen with light wood-look vinyl plank newly installed between wood cabinets and a granite island

    Water zones

Kitchens, bathrooms and laundry rooms: a waterproof core and sealed edges.

  • Empty apartment living area with dark hardwood flooring and bare walls, ready to hand over

    Rentals

Quick to install, easy to replace one plank at a time, and tough to damage.

  • Empty living room with wide-plank hardwood flooring, a corner fireplace and a staircase to one side

    Commercial traffic

Rated for heavy foot traffic and rolling loads. We install VCT too.

Two things almost nobody else does.

We check the slab before we quote.

On every job, with the meter out and the reading shared with you right there. Most quotes in this market never mention moisture, and in Florida moisture is what ruins floors.

One contract, one point of accountability, from the slab up.

Demolition, subfloor prep and installation are one job, and one company answers for all of it. Nothing gets passed along halfway through, and if something goes wrong, you know exactly who to call.

About the price of tile, honestly.

Our tile labor is $8 per square foot. That’s the middle of the Tampa range, not the bottom, and we’d rather explain why than hide it. Tile takes more labor than any other floor: the cuts, the mortar bed, keeping it flat, and in a shower, the waterproofing membrane, the cuts around valves and niches, and a finish that has to keep water out for years. When a tile bid is too cheap, that’s usually the job that ends up getting torn out.

Three stages, in this order.

  1. Hand holding a pinless moisture meter with its screen lit, at a job site01

    Site visit

We come to your property at no cost, look at the scope, check the slab and put the estimate together. This is also when you choose materials, with the real measurements of the room in hand.

  2. Freshly poured self-leveling compound, still wet across the slab, in front of sliding glass doors onto a paver patio02

    Delivery and prep

Material arrives at the site. Demolition and any subfloor preparation happen before a single plank goes down.

  3. Corner of a room with newly installed grey wood-look plank flooring and a length of new baseboard resting against the wall03

    Installation

The floor you picked, installed and finished. Then we walk through it with you.

How long it takes

500 sq ft of laminate in an empty room takes one day. The same area in tile takes two. If people are living in the home and there’s furniture to work around, plan on double. For anything bigger, we set the timeline during the visit, before you sign.

Once you approve the estimate, we usually start within 7 days, or within 21 if your material needs to be special-ordered.

A new floor is more than an expense.

It’s the first thing buyers notice when they walk in, and one of the things they remember. Flooring regularly ranks among the renovations with the best return at resale, and in a rental it helps units turn over faster and hold their rent. So when you choose a floor, you’re also shaping what your property will be worth to the next person.

Frequently asked questions

How much does flooring installation cost in Tampa?

Flooring labor in Tampa usually runs $2 to $8 per square foot. Ours starts at $2 for LVP, and you can see the full price list on this page. Sales tax isn’t included.

Do you supply the material, or do I?

Whichever works best for you. You can hire us for material and labor together, or just for installation or demolition.

How long does an install take?

500 sq ft of laminate in an empty room takes about a day, and the same in tile takes about two. If people are living in the home with furniture in the way, plan on double. We usually start within 7 days of your approval, or 21 if the material is special-ordered.

Do you move furniture?

We don’t offer furniture moving as a service. If a room can’t be installed without moving things, there’s a $100 charge per room, and we tell you before we start.

Can you install over existing tile?

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. It depends on how high the floor ends up, the condition of the tile and how flat it is. We decide by measuring, not by guessing.

What’s not included in the quote?

Anything that shows up once the old floor comes off, like structural damage or severe moisture, gets quoted separately, and we tell you before we do anything. You won’t get a surprise charge.

When do I pay?

Homeowners pay within 7 days. Businesses have 30-day terms.

Send us a photo of the room and we’ll price it.

A photo and a rough measurement are all we need to give you a range. If you want a firm estimate after that, the visit is free, and nobody will pressure you.
